When families create memories, they hope and pray they are full of happiness, laughter and peace. Unfortunately, the reality is every life comes with its share of turmoil and pain. However, the Indian Child Welfare Act has created, in many cases, an unnecessary layer of pain and suffering that no family should have to endure. The following stories are true stories. These are real people that at the hand of the Indian Child Welfare Act, and its application across our nation over the years, have experienced a level of turmoil that no human being should have to bear.
